Anna Dai ("we," "our," or "us") built Luni as a freemium app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Luni. By using Luni, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Information We Collect

Information You Provide Directly

• Caregiver name: A display name you choose to identify yourself. Stored locally and shared with your partner through iCloud sync.
• Baby information: Name, date of birth, and optional details. Stored locally and synced via iCloud.
• Care event data: Feeding, sleep, diaper, and growth events. Stored locally and synced via Apple iCloud (CloudKit).
• Swiss health reminder data: Which checkups or reminders you have completed or dismissed. Stored locally and synced via iCloud.
• Support requests: If you contact us, we collect your email address and message content.

Purchase Information

If you purchase Luni Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or have access to your payment information. Apple may share a transaction identifier with us to verify your purchase. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your email address, phone number, or Apple ID
• We do not require account creation
• We do not collect analytics or usage data
• We do not use crash reporting services
• We do not track you across other apps or websites
• We do not collect location, health, camera, contacts, or sensor data
• We do not use advertising or ad-tracking identifiers

iCloud Sync (CloudKit)

Luni uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data between your devices and with your partner. Your data is stored in Apple's iCloud servers under your Apple ID. We do not operate our own servers and have no direct access to your iCloud data. Apple processes this data per their Privacy Policy.

Local Storage

• Preferences: App settings stored locally, not synced or transmitted.
• Partner aliases: Display names stored locally and not shared.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to provide Luni's core functionality: tracking care events, syncing with your partner via iCloud, and displaying caregiver names alongside events. We do not sell your data, build advertising profiles, perform analytics, or make automated decisions that affect you.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is shared only in these limited circumstances:

• Your partner: When you use the sharing feature, care event data is shared with the partner you invite via iCloud. You control access.
• Apple iCloud: Data is stored and synced through CloudKit, subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or government request.

4. Third-Party Services

We do not use any other third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.

5. Data Retention

• Care event data: Retained until you delete it or delete the app.
• Baby and caregiver info: Retained while you use the app. Deleting the app removes local data; manage iCloud data at Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.
• Reminder data: Completion/dismissal states retained while you use the app, resettable within the app.
• Purchase records: Stored locally; Apple retains transaction records per their policies.
• Local preferences: Stored on device only, deleted with the app.

6. Data Security

• All iCloud-synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest by Apple
• Local data is stored in the app's sandboxed container, protected by iOS security
• No data is transmitted to any server other than Apple's iCloud

We rely on Apple's industry-standard security infrastructure. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

• Access & Correction: View and edit all data directly within the app.
• Deletion: Delete individual events or all data as described in Section 5.
• Portability: Your data is in your iCloud account, which you control.
• Withdraw consent: Stop using the app and delete your data at any time.

• Lawful basis: Performance of contract; your consent (for partner sharing, revocable at any time)
• Right to restrict processing, object, and lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority
• Data transfers: Via Apple iCloud with Standard Contractual Clauses. See Apple's privacy commitment.

For California Residents (CCPA)

• We do not sell or share your personal information for behavioral advertising.

8. Children's Privacy

Luni is for parents and caregivers, not children. The app is not intended for users under 13. While the app stores information about babies, this data is provided and controlled by the parent or caregiver. Contact us at info@getluni.ch if you believe a child has provided personal information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We will update the "Last Updated" date above and notify you through the app for significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
